Troop 85 holds its regular meetings every Monday evening at the Scout Hut located on Kirtland Air Force Base starting at 7:00pm and lasting until around 8:30pm. Meetings include skill instruction, rank/merit badge advancement time, a game, news and announcements and of course a great time! Members must wear Class A uniform (Scout shirt, pants/shorts, belt, neckerchief and slide) and bring a BSA Handbook and note-taking materials. However, in the summer, Class B uniform (any scout shirt or t-shirt) is permitted.

Troop 85's Scout Hut is located on Kirtland Air Force Base. Click here for a map (opens new window). Access to Kirtland AFB can be gained via either the Gibson/Lousiana or Wyoming gates. If you do not have a base sticker on your vehicle, you will need to present the guard a valid drivers license, proof of insurance and vehicle registration. You will also need to tell him/her that you are going to Boy Scout Troop 85's meeting at the Scout Hut. Please allow a few extra minutes for this, as it is for base security.

Members of Troop 85 participate in many other activites in addition to weekly meetings. These include at least one outing (backpacking, camping or hiking trip) and field trip (fun activity in place of one meeting) a month, Order of the Arrow meetings and activities, community service projects, Court of Honors, fundraisers and more!
